Victoria University Work-Study Programs
Students must have applied for and been approved to participate in the work study program prior to accessing the work study postings. September 6, 2023 – April 26, 2024 is the date of the 2023–2024 Work Study Programme. During the summer semester (May - August), the programme is not offered.
The University of Victoria's internal rules and regulations govern how jobs under the programme are managed. The following are the work study pay rates:

The rate of pay for the 2023–2024 Work Study Program is $17.50, which also includes 4% vacation pay.

Students enrolled in Work Study programmes who have a job classified as CUPE will be charged an initial $10.00 initiation fee and additional union fees of 50 cents per pay cheques.

Membership dues will also be subtracted from total earnings at a rate of 1.79%.

The 1.79% cost of membership dues on total earnings will be covered by the Work Study Program.

Departments have to conform to the agreed-upon specialist/instructional rates of pay for students and grant permission for the Work Study rate of pay to be increased under those rates if the Work Study post requires graduate-level experience.
